• Creating and maintaining a secure authenticated session.

• Maintaining the state needed to complete requested account and billing actions.

Blocking this category can prevent sign-in and other account features from working correctly.

FreeScan may remember theme choices, interface state, recent free scans, and other preferences so the product behaves consistently between page loads and visits. Removing this storage can reset those preferences without deleting information held in an authenticated account.

Analytics technologies help us understand page views, referral information, feature interactions, product performance, errors, and broad device characteristics. We use this information to improve FreeScan, measure whether features work, and investigate problems. When you are signed in, analytics events may be associated with a FreeScan account identifier.

Authentication, payment, embedded feedback, and other linked services may set or read their own cookies when you choose to use them or visit their pages. Those providers control their own storage and explain it in their respective privacy and cookie documentation.

Most browsers let you inspect, delete, or block cookies and site storage. You can also use private-browsing modes or device settings to limit persistence. Controls vary by browser and device.

Clearing or blocking storage may sign you out, interrupt an account-confirmation flow, reset preferences, remove locally retained recent scans, or make parts of FreeScan unavailable.
